GIRAVOLTA
GIRAVOLTA speaks of life stories, of love, fragility, conquests, feelings, fears. To do it courageously, in the guise of Drag Queen, are Claudio, Giovanni and Vincenzo inmates of the Brindisi District House.
GiraVolta is a theatre-dance performance that speaks of identity, the one often affected by prejudices as it often happens also for prisoners. Just as the Drag Queen is a victim of prejudice, so a prisoner is, for the most part, condemned by society, for different reasons, he/she is a victim of discrimination. The aim is to try to break down prejudices through knowledge. The knowledge of a man behind the mask. The prisoner removes the costume of his character, until only his essence remains, the soul. Every man has something within himself that makes him special, as are our prisoners / protagonists.
